Arctic Tern - Sterna paradisaea

Running the gauntlet of the Arctic Terns is my favourite part of visiting the Farnes. I find them quite mesmerising as they fly around my head, constantly screaming, often making contact and occasionally drawing blood!
I spent more than an hour standing in the firing line - whirling like a dervish, camera on high-speed repeat, trying to get a decent image.
